About Us
REACH was founded on the simple philosophy that every student in California deserves the best academic support available.
About Us
To better assist your child, our first session includes a state approved assessment to help determine their strengths and areas of need. Then with your permission, we reach out to your child’s teachers, usually via email, to gain additional input. Communicating with the educators involved in your child’s learning, allows us to gain a better understanding on how to serve your child better.
Our rigid hiring process allows us to retain the best professional tutors in the state – tutors held to high academic and teaching qualifications– who consistently demonstrate a passion for helping ALL children succeed. This helps ensure that your child will have a successful and enriching tutoring experience that meets and exceeds your expectations.
REACH is not a franchise company. We are a California based company, founded in 2005 and managed by professional, experienced California educators and parents. REACH is approved by the California Department of Education. This means we are not limited to corporate curriculum. We can continue to use your child’s current school curriculum enhanced with one of the many sources of teaching material that we have available to us. All of this creates a tutoring experience customized specifically for your child that will without a doubt, help show strong results and visible improvements in the first sixty days.

How We Work
In a traditional classroom, a teacher may have 20 to 25 students, or more. It is therefore a challenge to teach to each child’s specific learning style. In addition, the large number of students decrease the amount of time teachers spend with each individual child.
To ensure that children get the support they need after normal school hours, tutoring has become an increasingly common service for many families. One-on-One tutoring is the best method that offers customized teaching with the learning style your child learns best with. Children who do receive extra help, such as tutoring, are usually better learners in class. When a child is struggling, it not only impacts their report card, but it can have a negative impact on their self-confidence and self-esteem. Sitting in math class can be an uncomfortable experience, hoping that the teacher does not call on you. If the frustration increases, eventually the child may just altogether give up.
Our tutors are professional instructors. They know the material and Common Core standards. They also know how to teach and have a strong passion for teaching. That is one of the main factors that makes REACH Professional In-Home Tutoring the best choice for your child. As a team, we go the extra distance to make sure your child and every child enrolled in REACH is provided with an experience that is enriching and successful. We provide an upfront, state approved assessment and various assessments along the way to help you measure your child’s progress however, we know that as a parent, your real measurement will be the improvements with homework, increase in self-confidence, input from their teacher and ultimately their report card.
If you child has ADD, ADHD, Autism, Speech, or any type of learning disability, we can help. If they have an IEP, we can support their learning goals. Many of our tutors have a background in special needs and know how to bring out the best in your child. There is more to it than just using visual aids and bringing the child back to task. Again, this is a specialized area where our highly qualified tutors can bring their experience to provide customized individual tailored instruction.
